This dish is considered a "second" which means it contains an imperfection or is not to exact standards when it come to weight balance, glaze surfaces or technique and therefore has a reduced price point accordingly. It could also be a reject or leftover from a previous custom order. Saying this, however, each piece has still passed a standard of inspection that is still acceptable for full use and functionality. Please note that staining can occur on matte surfaces with strong foods and sauces. Rinse and clean as promptly as possible to help discourage staining.

Each dish has been inspected for quality control but may have imperfections in form and surface outcome because of its handmade nature. We value and appreciate these imperfections as part of its delicate history being designed, formed and handled by our hands and traditional techniques.
